Olle wins the Tvedestrand race - 1980

The Tvedestrand regatta has long traditions here in the South. When we drove the SB class, this was one of the races everybody participated in.

After the start Morten Patricksson #75 took the lead before Gunnar Gabrielsen #85 and then #87 Olle Terjesen on third. Out with Sagesund Patricksson hit the waves after a boat in the same second he turned his head after the compition, and flipped.

Now Gabrielsen was in the lead before OIle, and when Gabrielsen was near the turning buoy out in the fjord (where they was about to round an island), Gabrielsen looked back to see where Olle was going to drive. Olle realised Gabrielsen didn't know where the lap actually was going, and pretended he was about to drive past the turning buoy. When Gabrielsen turned his head back, Olle turned, and took the lead.

He kept the lead all the way to the finish line, and won. He also pulled a new recordtime for this class. Olle had to come up to the podium totally 6 times on the city hall stairs to get miscellany goblets and the class prize!
